ABOUT NOBE 67 ART
NOBE 67 ART is a huge new art event in the Miami art scene that will take place during the busy Art Basel season. NOBE 67 ART is sponsored by The Deauville Beach Resort Hotel, and its President Mrs. Belinda Meruelo.
NOBE 67 ART is a curated show in the hands of experienced curator Dr. Milagros Bello who has, along with a Selection Committee, selected a solid roster of International artists from different generations and tendencies.
NOBE 67 ART presents more than 60 artists from Modern, Contemporary to Cutting Edge Art, Installation Art and Object Art, spotlighting new languages and new voices from the Miami Art scene.
NOBE 67 ART presents a special New Media Section with International and National artists that have been curated by NOBE 67 ART Guest Curator Jocelyn Adele Gonzalez-Junco, from Hamburg. Performances and Site Specific Installations are also presented.
NOBE 67 ART 2008 pays a special tribute to Masters Cundo Bermudez (Cuba) and Diego Barboza (Venezuela) for their invaluable legacy in the visual arts.
NOBE 67 ART presents works of The Meruelo and The Amat Collections with works of great Masters such as Manuel Mendive, Mariano Rodriguez, Carmelo Fernandez, among others. Two specially invited galleries, Amat Art Gallery and Magna Fine Art Gallery, present an outstanding selection of Cuban Modern Art.
NOBE 67 ART is presented in the Historic Napoleon Grand Ballroom in The Deauville Beach Resort Hotel, with over 20,000 sq .ft. that serves to hold more than 50 art fairs like booths.
NOBE 67 ART opens to the public DEC.3 – DEC. 9, 2008 from 12pm-9pm daily.
On December 02, there is a Press Preview (2-5pm), a Collector’s Preview (5-8pm), and VIP Cocktail Reception (8-11pm).
There are free shuttles every 30 minutes from Art Basel (Miami Beach Convention Center) and from Wynwood art fairs to NOBE 67 ART on Miami Beach.
NOBE 67 ART is being advertised in Art Circuits, Miami Art Guide, and Art Nexus, among many of the art media guides. NOBE 67 ART will publish a catalog and it has a web site with the list and information of the selected artists (www.nobe67art.com) The Miami Herald, Nuevo Herald and Miami.com along with Bodega Septima Wine ( from Argentina) are the major sponsors of the event.
