Presidential Inauguration Simulcast
Tuesday, January 20 at 10:30 a.m.
See President-Elect Barack Obama sworn in as the 44th president of the United States at a special video simulcast at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts. The telecast, which will be projected on the theater’s 28 foot high screen, is provided with special permission from WPBT2, PBS and The NewsHour. Doors open at 10:30 for general admission seating. A mini-concert on the theater’s massive “Mighty Wurlitzer” pipe organ begins at 11. The simulcast will air from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase in the theater’s lobby, as well as special commemorative posters, personally signed by the artist.
