From musical images of Connecticut to musical experimentation, Charles Ives left an influential stamp on musical history with his ingenious layering techniques and use of American vernacular tunes. Hear a movement from Ives’ own Piano Trio and then experience his lasting impact in the world-premiere performances of four NWS-commissioned works by Timothy Andres, David Little, Daniel Manoiu and Jeff Myers, produced and presented by Violin Fellow Yuki Numata (shown above).
