This comprehensive workshop will introduce you to the most liberating
form of printmaking, with an emphasis on experimentation and creativity.
Learn to create innovative one-of-a-kind prints using painting, drawing and collage. Explore color mixing, brushwork, ghost images, chine colle, stencils and various unique tools. We will create highly developed monotypes by hand and with the aid of the press.
The course fee will include Akua Kolor paints, a water-based non-toxic ink. These paints are gaining popularity with leading printmakers and print shops around the country not only because they clean up with water (minimizing their impact on our health and the environment), but because of their versatility and luminous beauty.
