Peter Shankman, a public relations consultant and internationally-renowned social media expert, will conduct a local seminar on social media and viral marketing, announced hosts Association for Women in Communications (South Florida Chapter), the American Marketing Association (South Florida Chapter), the Gold Coast Public Relations Council, and the Social Media Club of South Florida.

The seminar will take place on Thursday, June 4, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Westin Fort Lauderdale, 400 Corporate Drive, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33334. Lunch will be served.

Mr. Shankman, the founder of Help A Reporter Out, and The Geek Factory, is internationally recognized for his expertise in social media and marketing. His seminar, titled “It’s Not Web 2.0. It’s Not Web 3.0. It’s Simply Life,” will cover social networking, viral marketing, nontraditional thinking about new media, and all the “fun ways” to use the variety of new tools available. Perhaps most importantly, Mr. Shankman will explain why not using any of the many social media services may be the best bet.
