Alex de Carvalho, co-founder of StartPR and adjunct professor of social media at the University of Miami, and Murray Izenwasser, Director of Client Strategy, Interactive Services for Starmark International, will discuss how social media is changing marketing, PR, and the way we work and live. About Alex de Carvalho:
Alex is an avid user of social networks. Based in Miami, Florida, he is the co-founder of StartPR, an online tracking service for reputation management, blogger relations, and brand monitoring. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Miami, School of Communications, where he teaches a class on social media. He organizes
Social Media Club, BarCamp, Mobile Monday, and RefreshMiami meetups and conferences for South Florida new media professionals. Alex obtained an MBA from Insead in Fontainebleau, France. He speaks English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Finnish.
About Murray Izenwasser:
Murray Izenwasser is Director of Client Strategy, Interactive Services for Starmark International, a fully integrated advertising agency based in Fort Lauderdale. Murray assists Starmark’s clients drive their businesses by implementing appropriate marketing strategies and tactics (both interactive / social media, and traditional) to fully engage their customers.
