You are invited to join us in celebrating the Grand Opening of the all new Scratch DJ Academy in the Design District of Miami. Scratch Miami has been operating on South Beach for the past 4 years and has now relocated to a bigger and better studio. We are very excited to showcase our new space to past/present students and affiliates of the Scratch family. This event will include DJ performances, DJ Lessons, Production Demonstrations as well as Food & Drinks for everyone.

Alongside the grand opening, Scratch will be having their first art exhibit, It’s Like That…. which is an exploration of music, art and Miami. The title references a Run DMC Song in order to pay respect to Jam Master Jay, the legendary DJ from Run-DMC who founded Scratch DJ Academy in 2002. Eight local Miami artists will be exhibiting work that in one way or another is influenced by music, street art, or the urban lifestyle of Miami. The exhibit will run through December 12, 2009.
