Supply Truck 1st and Alton, Miami Beach FL
As you know, Haiti has been demolished. My LEED education company, Sustainable Four, along with PrimeTime Boat Rentals at Miami Beach Marina, are sponsoring a humanitarian relief collection point at:
WHERE: 1st Street & Alton Road
WHEN: Starting at 6PM tonight
WHAT: A 26′ truck, so please look out for it
Facebook Evite
If I’m not there, please place your donations in the truck as it will be there 24/7 until it’s completely filled up.
We need to be smart about specifically what to collect, so that maximum humanitarian relief is achieved because Haiti has DESTROYED HOSPITALS and NO POWER. Therefore, please donate what you can in the following categories.
SHELTER: Sheets, Blankets, Towels, Tents (there are $35 tents at WalMart), Tarps
POWER: Candles, Flashlights, Flashlight Batteries – D cells, Matches / lighters, Lanterns + lantern oil
MEDICINE: Rubbing alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, Iodine, Bandages, Gauze, Aspirin, Soap, Baby diapers
FOOD: Canned food with TAB OPENINGS not requiring can openers – soup, tuna, etc, Energy bars, Bottled water
We will accept anything you can provide, but we feel those categories are most important now. Please TRY make sure that your donation is placed in BOXES or STURDY PLASTIC BAGS. If you can, please MARK your box/bag indicating WHAT’S INSIDE.
THANK YOU. And be thankful this didn’t happen to us.
