Save the date for the American International Fine Art Fair (AIFAF), the only American fair accorded 5 stars by The Art Newspaper. Celebrating its 14th year, AIFAF is the premier art, antique and jewelry fair in the United States, featuring more than 80 prominent exhibitors from more than 13 countries.
The fair is fully vetted by leading museum curators and experts and brings together International dealers representing disciplines of fine art from classical antiquity to contemporary. The fair also exhibits the world’s finest collection of haute and period jewelry.
The Vernissage preview party, benefiting the Norton Museum, is a highlight of the Palm Beach social season and will be held on February 2, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
In addition to the preview party, AIFAF offers a full schedule of daily activities to coincide with the exhibitions, including informative lectures from highly respected museum curators and art experts. Among the lecturers featured are Sir Timothy Clifford, previously of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Museum in London, Bertrand du Vignaud of Design World Monument Fund, and design dynamo Nancy Corzine.
To further enhance the fair offerings, AIFAF’s Center Court will feature a deluxe bar serving gourmet small plates and a fine selection of wine and champagne. The Fair will also introduce a new VIP lounge, sushi bar, casual cafe, and a formal restaurant, le Bistro, featuring the award winning continental cuisine of Executive Chef Michael Russell.
This year, AIFAF is pleased to participate in the spirit of cultural philanthropy of the Palm Beaches that has empowered and inspired thousands in the community. In this spirit, AIFAF has adopted “The Art of Giving†program for 2010 and will donate all admission proceeds and a portion of food and beverage proceeds to a different, local cultural organization each day.
