ZADOK ART GALLERY OPENS IN MIAMI’S THRIVING WYNWOOD ARTS DISTRICT

Miriam and Dror Zadok, and newly appointed Gallery Director and Curator Frederic Letzelter proudly announce the Grand Opening of the Zadok Art Gallery (ZAG), located at 2534 North Miami Avenue. Situated in the Wynwood Arts District, ZAG is housed in an impressive 17,500-square feet of art space, making it one of the area’s most expansive art galleries.

The gallery is currently open to the public daily and is slated to host a number of special events in the coming months, including the popular Wynwood Art Walks held on the second Saturday and last Thursday of each month. The ZAG Grand Opening event will take place on March 1, 2010 and will welcome ZAG’s collectors and special guests.

ZAG focuses on exhibiting cutting edge and socially and politically thought provoking artworks by emerging artists and contemporary masters, to engage the community, collectors and arts patrons in an ongoing dialogue.

Spotlighting acclaimed artists from Asia, Europe, North and South America, ZAG brings the best of the international art scene to South Florida.

The Zadok Art Gallery opens its first season exhibiting the works of Italian artist, poet and photographer Luca Artioli; esteemed French artist Marc Ash; well-known Miami pop culture artist Stephen Gamson; breakout mixed-media artist Karim Ghidinelli; acclaimed photographer Tomáš Loewy; accomplished Norwegian multimedia artist Stian Roenning; and contemporary French sculptor Yom. The gallery is also exhibiting rare art works by Andy Warhol, and early paintings by Romero Britto.

“ZAG is geared toward encouraging creative thought and fostering development of new talent,” said ZAG Gallery Director Frederic Letzelter. “We are confident that visitors will leave the gallery with strong opinions and positive revelations about the art works.” Moreover, ZAG represents the interest of international art brokers and consultants who specialize in Modern Art and the secondary market – a need that is otherwise unmet in the Miami art scene.

ZAG hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. and features extended hours during Wynwood’s Art Walks on the second Saturday and last Thursday of every month, as well as by appointment.
