On Sunday, March 21st, acclaimed concert pianist, Alex Wu, performs Fascinatin’ Rhythms at Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach. Wu’s contemporary and smooth programming contextualizes the universality of music, and bridges classical music with jazz, folk, dance and popular music to create a fresh sound, style and rhythm while holding an innate technical command of the instrument.
Fascinating’ Rhythms, spotlights the music of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and other influential 20th century composers from Latin America/Caribbean, Spain, and the US, such as: Gershwin, Bowles, Albeniz, Brubeck, Piazzolla, and more. Adding to his universal appeal, Wu has internationally performed concerts live, on television and on the radio.
