CHARO OQUET, born in Dominican Republic is a Miami-based interdisciplinary artist. Her work has been extensively exhibited internationally and reviewed and is included in many books and catalogs. Oquet has had numerous solo exhibitions in Museums in galleries around the world. Her work is in many museum collections in the US and in abroad. She is the recipient of several fellowships and awards most recently: Florida State Artists Fellowship; State of Florida Artists Enhancement Grant; S. Florida Cultural Consortium 2005 Visual and Media Artists Fellowship; Creative Capital Grant; S. Florida Cultural and Artists Access Grant. QE II Arts Council of N.Z. Artist Fellowship 84, 85 and 86. She received a BFA from Florida International University.
