Hands Across the Sand on Miami Beach was held Saturday Morning, June 26, 2010.  Surfrider Foundation, the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, Environment Florida, 1Sky, ECOMB, and the Urban Paradise Guild for Hands Across the Sand – a global day of action to say NO to offshore drilling and YES to clean energy!  Millions of people joined hands on thousands of beaches around the world to draw a literal and figurative line in the sand protecting our coasts from any more oil disasters! The only way to ensure we never again see another Deepwater Horizon is to once and for all become free of our dependence on fossil fuels. The obstacles to this are not technical, or economic – they are political. Join us in sending a message loud and clear that we demand our leaders ban all new offshore drilling and start the clean energy revolution today!
