Hit songwriter Jamie Jo Harris held an exclusive launch event for her rock-inspired jewelry line Belle Coeur at Jackie Abraham Fine & Estate Jewelry on November 18, 2010. Hosted by Harris, collaborator Rosalina Lydster of Jewelry by Rosalina along with Jackie Abraham and wife Johanna, the soiree drew a packed house.
Guests included socialite Claudine Smurfit, celebrity wig designer Ruth Regina, Miami luxury real estate giant Rusty Stein, Bay Harbour Islands Vice-Mayor Ileene Wallace, Femme Coiffure Hair Salon & Spa owner Raphael Reboh and wife Alyssa, former banker-turned-professor and Star Jones’ ex-husband Al Reynolds, and the designer’s parents, prominent businessman Mel Harris and wife Fran, who sipped specialty Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur champagne cocktails and nibbled on Belle Coeur-branded bite-sized cupcakes provided by 2 Girls and a Cupcake, while perusing the line’s debut collection and mingling with designer Jamie Jo and her collaborator.
Channeling Jamie Jo’s love of music, fashion and philanthropy, Belle Coeur (literally, a “beautiful heart†in French) features a selection of unisex, interlocking pendants, cuffs, rings and earrings marked with the line’s signature agate-, white, pink and black sapphire-encrusted symbols of wings, hearts and keys, which embody Jamie Jo’s free spirit. Notably, a portion of proceeds from the sales of Belle Coeur during the event will be donated to charity. Prices range from $400 to $5,000.
