“The Business of Green luncheon with Faith Taylor, VP Sustainability & Innovation, Wyndham Worldwide
On Friday, February 4, 2011, the Greater Miami & the Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA) brings hospitality innovator, Faith Taylor, VP Sustainability and Innovation, Wyndham Worldwide, to Miami’s JW Marriott Marquis Miami for the ‘Business of Green’ luncheon.
Ms. Taylor directs Wyndham Worldwide’s sustainable hospitality program, which includes 55 brands, over 30,000 employees and 80, 000 locations in 100 countries. In 2009, Newsweek recognized Wyndham as one of the top 100 greenest companies in America.
Ms. Taylor will share insights for implementing profitable sustainable hotel practices throughout the world. The Business of Green discussion will focus on reducing operating costs and increasing profitability by integrating sustainable behaviors and innovative business technologies.
GMBHA’s Green Hospitality Council organized the event to showcase Wyndham Worldwide’s success in building its worldwide sustainable brand. Sponsored by Shore Club and hosted by J.W. Marriott Marquis, the event also features vendors specializing in sustainable products and technologies.
Ms. Taylor, who is also chair of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Environmental and Engineering Committee and active with both the World Travel and Tourism Council and the International Tourism Partnership, will also be addressing a campus-wide audience for Florida International University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management in the morning.
