Certified Specialist of Wine Stephanie Miskew and Acclaimed Local Chefs
Lenore Nolan-Ryan, and Remy Gautier to Host

The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University, continues its “Art of Wine and Food” tasting series with locally renowned chefs and Certified Specialist of Wine Stephanie Miskew in March and April. The once-a-month series gives attendees a social, fun and educational opportunity to learn about delicious wines and foods.

Each event within the series will be co-hosted by Miskew, author of the blog Stephanie Savors the Moment. March 24th, Chef Lenore Nolan-Ryan of Lenore Nolan-Ryan Cooking School and Catering in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea; and April 28th, Chef Remy Gautier of Argentelle in Fort Lauderdale will co-host.

During each tasting, attendees will enjoy three to four wines presented with food pairings. Miskew will discuss each wine, theregion it is from, color, aroma, flavor, etc. Each chef will describe the food experience and how the accompanying dish, artfully prepared and using the freshest and highest quality ingredients, was created. During and after each presentation, guests are encouraged to discuss the wines and pairings and will have the opportunity to ask questions; then socialize before moving on to the next wine.

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Miskew is an independent wine consultant and enjoys blogging about adventures in food & wine on Stephanie Savors the Moment.

Chef Lenore Nolan-Ryan opened Lenore Nolan-Ryan Cooking School and Catering in 2000. She was chosen by Paula Deen to represent the entrée category of a cooking contest sponsored by Kraft Foods. Chef Nolan-Ryan creates recipes and videos that are used as sales and promotional pieces for various companies. Currently, she is writing a memoirs cookbook with her sister and launching a line of spices and food.

With 30 years of professional culinary experience in the U.S. and in France, Chef Remy Gautier founded Argentelle Café and Catering in Fort Lauderdale in 2006. Hailing from Normandy, France, he served as sous-chef at the French Embassy in Amsterdam before becoming the chef de cuisine at the French consulate in New York City in 1978. In 1981, he joined the culinary staff of New York City’s Carlyle Hotel. He founded Argentelle in New York City in 1984.

All wine tastings take place from 6 until 7:30 p.m. The Museum’s galleries remain open from 5 pm until the start of the wine tastings to allow a private viewing of stellar installations of art from around the world.
