Tax season is here, which means the dreaded day is looming. This year, the tax return deadline has been extended to Monday, April 18, adding stress to an already loathed day of the week. To give Miami-Dade residents incentive for getting their taxes done early or providing a little relief for those who procrastinated, RA Sushi in South Miami has created a “Manic Monday” special, extending its Happy Hour from 3 p.m. to close on April 18.

Keeping a little money in their pockets, on tax day guests can choose from more than 35 sushi, appetizer, and tapas selections, plus more than 30 beer, wine and signature cocktails ranging from $2 to $7. RA Sushi in South Miami’s Happy Hour typically runs from 3 to 7 p.m., but on this specific day Happy Hour specials will be offered from 3 p.m. until close.

Updated earlier this year, the Happy Hour menu has been expanded to include new menu items, plus a variety of RA’s most popular dishes. Now included in the selections are new tapas menu items: Garlic Sugar Snap Peas and Shishito Peppers. Cocktails that were recently added to the menu are also being offered, such as the Dragon Bite (Bacardi Dragonberry, strawberry puree, fresh lemon juice, yuzu & a splash of soda make for an exotic blend bursting with fresh berry), Samurai Cowboy (Red Stag Black Cherry Bourbon, Aperol, yuzu sour, lemon juice & ginger ale create a powerfully exotic cocktail with a mellow bourbon kick), and Red Lotus (Absolut Ruby Red vodka, X-Rated, pink grapefruit & other fresh juices – sweet, tart & tasty). Included in the Happy Hour roundup are favorite dishes: Squid Salad, Seaweed Salad, Crispy Spicy Tuna (spicy tuna mix served on top of crispy sesame rice balls; drizzled with a soy chili sauce), RA Tapas (Sweet Onion Salmon, Garlic Citrus Yellowtail, Crispy Onion Albacore, Salmon Carpaccio, Seared Tuna), Spicy Sesame Chicken Wings (glazed chicken wings with a sweet & spicy sesame sauce), and Tuna Tataki (thinly sliced, seared ahi tuna; served with an onion soy vinaigrette).
