The 7th Edition of the Borscht Film Festival will be the first earthly screening of the twelve original short films by emerging Miami talent commissioned and produced by the festival. Borscht commissioned teams of directors and musicians to create short films about Miami by emerging Miami artists. These films are not music videos, but rather short narratives inspired by music and created by local, cross-disciplinary artists, and will screen alongside other films from the Miami community that tell Miami stories.

The festival recently won a $150,000 Arts Challenge Grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to continue “forging the cinematic identity of Miami both locally and globally” it its mission to “redefine Miami in cinema.”
