42BELOW Vodka (42below.com) and Bacardi to team up to spin out Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for the third-year running in the 25th Anniversary of the Zimmerman MS Bike Ride. The 150-mile ride to fight MS is Florida’s largest charity bike tour and, together with eight-year partner, Bacardi, are looking to set a new standard in corporate social responsibility. To date, the Bacardi cyclists are leading the way in terms of participants, 290+ riders strong, as well as fundraising with $107,000 raised. When the two day trek concludes, Bacardi hopes to reach their goal of $140,000 toward research, programs and services to support the 6,000 South Floridians affected by multiple sclerosis.

Eight-year MS race veteran Claudette Halluk, Bacardi’s Director of Business Development, has worked hard to garner interest and participation from Bacardi employees and others in the community is excited about her teams efforts, “I’m so proud of Bacardi, 42BELOW, and the individual efforts of my teammates that make this a successful event every year,” said Claudette. “Because we can fight this disease by simply riding a bike and because we have chosen to help thousands of people through a contribution to the MS Bike Tour, every year we come one step closer to ending MS,” she added.

The MS Bike Ride is Florida’s premier and most exciting charity cycling event featuring an estimated 2,500 cyclists will make the two-day, 150-mile journey from the Maroone Start/Finish Village at Homestead-Miami Speedway to the 42BELOW Village in Key Largo and back as part of the Zimmerman MS Bike Ride Presented by Mack Cycle and Fitness featuring the $25,000 Challenge.

Once all riders arrive at the park, they will celebrate in true 42BELOW fashion with tasty cocktails, great food, and entertainment. Riders can either camp for free at the park or make hotel accommodations. After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, the riders will return back to the Speedway on May 15th for the finale where dedicated volunteers will cheer them across the finish line and present them with a medal. Rest stops will be available every 4 – 9 miles with food, drinks, first aid, bike repair, fun themes and more.
