a birthday party for the most needy in our community

Miami Rescue Mission – For the over 900 homeless and needy guests expected to be in attendance, they will be thrown a wonderful party complete with decorations, birthday cards, cupcakes and a special giveaway. Live Entertainment during the event will feature Thrive Youth Choir from First United Methodist Church of Atlanta, Georgia as well as the Miami Rescue Mission Regeneration Singers, which is a group comprised of the formerly homeless residents of the Miami Rescue Mission.

Broward Outreach Center Hollywood – Chick-Fil-A of Miramar will be sponsoring the Broward Outreach Center Hollywood celebration, providing sandwiches, coleslaw, a giant birthday cake, balloons, a clown, a DJ as well as some gifts for the homeless in attendance. The Moose Lodge and Generic Depot will be providing the tables and chairs for the event while Ofra Cosmetics will be providing gifts for the homeless women in attendance.

Broward Outreach Center Pompano – With wonderful sponsors such as Whole Foods Market, BB&T as well as Calvary Chapel, there will be live entertainment will be accompanied by great birthday treats, a meal as well as gifts for those 300+ homeless expected to be in attendance.

Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers Director of Development, Marilyn Brummitt, said of the upcoming event, “The homeless people living on the streets usually never have a chance to celebrate their birthdays so we want to bring them together and let them celebrate at a special party created just for them. So no matter when their birthday is, they will be able to celebrate their special day with us at our Gigantic Birthday Bash Party. This is just another way to show them that they are not forgotten and they can get help off the streets.”
