Ovideo remains the authoritative voice on more than 85 premium tequilas carried at Cantina Beach, the largest 100 percent Agave tequila collection in Miami. The evening’s guests will enjoy freshly made guacamole and taste the rare, specially crafted tequila that goes for $450 a bottle at an oceanfront reception preceding dinner. It’s a beautiful, one-of-a-kind date night that’s reasonably priced at just $75 per person.

The Story Behind The Special Ritz-Carlton Tequila:
Only 240 of these exquisite bottles are in existence and will be unveiled, offered as tastings and available by the bottle ($450) or 2-ounce glass ($32) the night of the dinner, July 21.

Tequilier Heriberto Ovideo traveled to Amatitán, Mexico, believed to be the birthplace of Tequila, to nurture and select specially crafted double-barrel reposado Tequila from the House of Herradura distillery that would be reserved for The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami. The process began in 2010 with 100 percent blue Weber Agave tequila “resting” in toasted oak barrels for 11 months before maturing in a second hand-made barrel. Finally in April 2011, Ovideo journeyed to the distillery to taste and choose the best of three barrels awaiting his arrival. The preferred barrel captured smooth, light, earthy flavors and was hand-bottled at Casa Herradura.
