The Startup Forum will present a workshop, led by Alex de Carvalho, on how to use social media to develop a community for your startup.
Alex will lead an interactive session that will include:
-Creating a social media plan that supports your business plan.
-The difference between social media, community management, and viral marketing.
-Understanding how and when to engage your community.
-Combining social media with your marketing activities.
-Integrating social affordances into your product or service.
-Finding the right agency or other external and/or internal resource.
-Recruiting talent using social media.
-Setting metrics and finding the right tools to measure campaigns.
-Examples of startups using social media effectively.
-Emerging types of social businesses and startup ideas.
Although the format will be lecture/presentation, there will be active audience participation. Be prepared to describe aspects of your business in order to address on-the-fly, real-world examples of social media and community management.
Location and Capacity
This event is being hosted and co-sponsored by our good friends at MiamiShared. Because of the nature of the event, we will be limiting attendance to seating capacity – no standing room participants. This means that no more than 44 slots are available.
