Yoga does a body good! September is National Yoga Month and Ayama Yoga in Aventura is celebrating by offering free classes to the masses.
Throughout the month of September, new students can drop in for any morning, evening or weekend class “gratisâ€. For a schedule of classes, visit http://www.ayamayoga.com/schedule.htm.
In addition, September 30, 2011, marks the day that National Yoga Month goes global. Ayama Yoga will join studios and teachers around the world on September 30th at exactly 7 p.m. to host a free class in international observance of the culmination of Yoga Month. Hosted by yogamonth.org, this campaign marks the First Annual Time for Yoga Global Community Practice.
Following the global 7 p.m. (local time) yoga practice is savasana beginning at 8 p.m., and a 15 minute meditation for universal peace and well-being at 8:15 p.m. By participating in this observation, a wave of yoga will take place around the globe.
September is the official National Yoga Month (a national observance designated by the Department of Health & Human Services) designed to build awareness of yoga’s proven health benefits and provide people with actionable guidance and tools to enhance their own well-being.
Bending South Florida’s beautiful bodies for the last eight years, Ayama Yoga offers 90-minute classes in Vinyasa, Hatha and Anusara. The centrally located space off Miami Gardens Drive provides a warm, spacious and enchanting space to practice complete with props and mats for use at no extra charge. Dim lights, candles, sacred music and acoustics help students turn inward and engage in the journey.
Students of all levels are encouraged to participate and experience the many benefits of yoga including improved health, posture, complexion, strength, balance and flexibility. Yoga can also help boost the immune system, relieve depression, reduce stress and help with weight loss.
