The official poster unveiling for the 2011 Gables Hispanic Cultural Festival, now in its second year featured a painting, Mujer en Selva, by the last master Cuban artist Mario Carreño. His family has flown in from Chile to participate in this special ceremony.
In attendance were community leaders, art lovers, sponsors and event organizers. The event was produced and hosted by the Gables Hispanic Cultural Foundation. The poster is sponsored by BBT Bank. Other reception sponsors included Casablanca Seafood Bar & Grill and Samuel Adams.

The mission of the Gables Hispanic Cultural Foundation, Inc. is to undertake programs and activities that enhance and promote Hispanic culture and appreciation of its heritage among the Hispanic population not only living in the Coral Gable area, but also the surrounding communities located in Miami Dade County and South Florida, as well. Portions of the Gables Hispanic Cultural Festival proceeds will benefit organizations aiding with the education and research for children with autism, as well as their families.
