On Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, Dream South Beach, the newly opened, imaginative, whimsical Art Deco hotel, and local brand development and events agency SuperMarket Creative will present “Oh Jack”—a Jack the Ripper-themed Halloween party.

SuperMarket Creative, now in its fifth year of organizing South Florida’s most memorable Halloween events, will also partner with Miami Art Museum, luxury lifestyle group Quintessentially, creative lab Product/81 and New World School of the Arts, which is creating an eerie masquerade gallery, sponsored by Dos Equis, entitled Alter Ego that will be unveiled and prominently displayed at the event. Returning sponsors and tastemakers include men-about-town Jose Ortiz, Nick D’Annunzio and Ernesto Reyes, famed stylists and owners of STASH Wardrobe Rental Danny Santiago and Teddy Gunter, Sweat Records’ Lolo Reskin, Spinello Gallery’s Anthony Spinello, Veni Vidi Vici, Miracle Entertainment Group and Dirty-Mag.com. Cocktails will be provided by 42Below vodka and Dos Equis beer.

As creators of last year’s hit Halloween soirée “Gatsby Gone Goth” at The Raleigh hotel, SuperMarket Creative’s Michelle Leshem and Sean Drake are determined to raise the bar and transform Dream South Beach’s entrance and sleek rooftop lounge HIGHBAR into London circa 1888, complete with a ghastly re-creation of the city’s East End Whitechapel district.

Arriving guests will make their way down a black carpet and pose for photographer Stian Roenning inside dark settings, such as the bedroom of Mary Kelly—Jack the Ripper’s final victim. HIGHBAR will feature a live DJ set by Penguin Prison, who will make his Miami debut and spin his popular remixes of Goldfrapp, Marina and the Diamonds, Kylie Minogue and Passion Pit, among others. Local DJs Ess & Emm and Ruen will also be on deck throughout the night. Complimentary Dos Equis and Magners Original Irish Cider will be available from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., with $5 drink specials to follow.

Boys and ghouls are encouraged to dress up in their best Victorian or Steampunk garb, though all costumes are welcome. STASH Wardrobe Rental will offer all “Oh Jack” guests 10% off their extravagant costume creations. For the most interesting spirits, Dirty-mag.com will capture those victims on the black carpet for a potential feature in its online magazine.
