Current exhibitions at the Museum, viewable daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., include Earth From Space: The Magic Planet, Energy Tracker, Heart Smart, The Sea Lab, Wildlife Center and Biscayne’s Underwater Secrets. Exhibitions are included in the Museum admission price.

The sounds of the Beastie Boys plus an exhilarating laser show at Miami Science Museum equals a “Sure Shot” for an amazing evening. On Nov. 4, the Museum is debuting its Beastie Boys music laser show at 11 p.m., and encouraging all fans to bring out the “Beastie” in them by participating in a photo costume contest.

To enter the contest, fans can e-mail photos of themselves in their favorite Beastie Boy garb to aoliva@miamisci.org by 5 p.m. on Nov. 1. The top three winners, who will be notified by email, must wear their costumes to the laser show to receive free admission. The winners’ photos will be featured on the Museum’s Box Office screens the night of the event, and entries will be posted on the Museum’s Facebook page.

The Beastie Boys laser show playlist includes The Biz vs. The Nuge clip, She’s Crafty, Girls, Sabotage, So Wat’cha Want, Song for Junior, Pass the Mic, Make Some Noise, Brass Monkey, Song for the Man, Fight for Your Right, Sure Shot, Hey Ladies, Ask for Janice clip, Body Movin’, and the New Style clip.

The Beastie Boys laser show is part of the Museum’s Fabulous First Friday event in November. While there is a nominal charge for the laser shows, Fabulous First Friday events are FREE. During the monthly Fabulous First Friday events, guests can “reach for the stars” during a free planetarium show, rooftop observatory viewing, and Activity Room for children three and older.
