The Broward Outreach Center in Pompano Beach will be celebrating its 9th Anniversary with an Open House for the public. Keynote Speakers include Mayor of Pompano Beach Lamar Fisher and Judge Ginger Lerner Wren. Other special guests will include such individuals as Mayor of Tamarac, Pamela Bushnell.
Guests will be treated to a tour of the campus, videos outlining the purpose and successes of the Center, refreshments as well as an opportunity to meet the staff that works there each day with the homeless and hungry individuals who come to the Broward Outreach Center to help change their lives.
The Open House and Anniversary will provide an excellent opportunity for the public to know more about the life-changing programs at the Broward Outreach Center and how it impacts the lives of the homeless men, women and children of our community.
Opened in 2002, the Broward Outreach Center in Pompano is a state of the art 200-bed homeless assistance center in Pompano Beach. The program is designed to be an eight week, full-service homeless shelter, with an average stay of sixty days. Services include, but are not limited to, vocational training, education classes and individual management by caseworkers on site.
