HBO is proud to present “GLOW”, a monthly screening series produced by the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. The next installment of GLOW is a double-feature of “The Grove” and “Mom and Dad, I Have Something To Tell You.” In addition to the Double Feature, the evening includes a pre-screening reception where guests may enjoy cocktails while nibbling on a variety of hors d’oeuvres.

Filmmaker and TV star Assi Azar, producer of “Mom & Dad, I have Something To Tell You,” will also be in attendance for a meet-and-greet and to sign autographs. Assi Azar was voted as one of the top 100 most influential gays in the world in 2009 by OUT Magazine. He is currently the host of Israeli’s version of “Big Brother.”

About “The Grove”
The Grove is a film about AIDS, love and the politics of remembrance. The GROVE shows how a community in crisis found healing in nature and unexpectedly ignited a debate about what it means to be a national memorial. Thirty years after the first diagnosed cases of AIDS, how do we mark a time of unimaginable loss? This film is being screened as an advance recognition of World AIDS Day, December 1.

About “Mom & Dad, I Have Something To Tell You”
“Mom and Dad, I Have Something To Tell You” is a documentary about the journey parents are forced to take once their children tell them they are gay or lesbian. Until now, documentaries about the subject of coming out of the closet have been from the point-of-view of the person taking that step. Now for the first time, we get to understand what happens from the parents’ perspective.

Filmmaker and Israeli TV star Assi Azar will be in attendance, courtesy of the Israeli Consulate.
