Miami’s Top Celebrity Chefs “Cooking Up Dreams”for Foundation for New Education Initiatives, Inc at the Doubletree Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay on Tuesday, November 1, 2011.  Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho and Julie Grimes were the host for Cooking Up Dreams and want a wonderful event.  The food was outstanding from some of the best restaurants around town.

Featuring chefs Michelle Bernstein from Michy’s & Sri Martinez , Douglas Rodriguez from De Rodriguez Cuba & OLA at the Sanctuary , Timon Balloo from Sugar Cane , Sarah Paz Claro from The Office Cake , Makoto Okuwa from Makoto Bal Harbour , Susan Bleemer from Catering the Event , Richard L. Ingraham the Personal Chef to Dwyane Wade , Horacio Rivadero from The Dining Room , Steve Calandra from DoubleTree Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay , Berni Matz from Books and Books Lincoln Road , Carmen Trigueros from La Bottega , Peter Vauthy from Red Steakhouse , Kris Wessel from Red Light Little River and culinary arts students from Lindsey Hopkins, Miami Lakes Tech and Robert Morgan. The mission of Foundation for New Education Initiatives, In. is to enhance student achievement and community engagement in support of The Parent Academy and other educational initiatives of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
