Visit Miami’s ORIGINAL Art District: On the first Saturday of every month

“Lynne Latham” at GroveHouse Artists Gallery
November’s featured artist for GroveHouse Artists Gallery (3390 Mary St # 162) is photographer Lynne Latham. They will also present “Not Your Mother’s Apron”, a collection of creatively designed aprons; and exhibits featuring member artists’ works and an exhibit featuring non-members’ works. They will announce awards at the opening reception with wine, fruit, and cheese.

“Colours of Greene” at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery
Featuring watercolor works in November, is the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery (339 Mayfair Street, Suite 128). Their featured exhibit is Colours of Greene: A Retrospective of the Works of Dorothy D. Greene. They will also be featuring music from world renowned tango musician, Osvaldo Barrios. Playing his bandoneon, Barrios will bring the sounds of his hometown, Buenos Aires, to Coconut Grove.

“The Works of George Rodez” at RODEZ Art Gallery
Moving over to Grand Avenue, RODEZ Art Gallery (3015 Grand Avenue, Suite 237) will feature contemporary and diverse works from one of their own, George Rodez.

“Innerscapes” at Cristina Chacon Gallery
Christina Chacon Gallery (3162 Commodore Plaza # 1F2) will present “Innerscapes” by Carlos Lersundy. Lersundy uses art to express the pictures of his soul. “Innerscapes” is a collection of works that takes you through the “landscape of man.” In his career, Lersundy has paired art and advertising and worked at some of the most notable advertising firms in the country. With an internationally recognized portfolio, Lersundy now teaches in Colombia.

Luz Maria Gutierrez at AC Fine Art
Also this month AC Fine Art’s (2911 Grand Avenue) will feature original oil paintings by Luz Maria Gutierrez. They will also present a special tribute exhibit to Marilyn Monroe showcased through various dynamic mediums and a Marilyn look-a-like contest open to all fans.

Large Originals at Max in the Grove
Finally, in the Village Center, Max in the Grove (2996 McFarland Road) will house a large collection of Peter Max originals, as well as artwork from other great artists such as Steve Kaufman, LeRoy Neiman, Picasso, Andy Warhol and many more.

“Miami Watercolor Society” at the Hunter Gallery
Hunter Gallery (3390 Mary St. Ste. 128) will also feature watercolor paintings from Miami Watercolor Society in their 38th Annual Fall Exhibition. The exhibit will consist of paintings from both members and non-members.

Hans Feverabend at Boswell Mourot Fine Art
This month, the Grove welcomes a new gallery, Boswell Mourot Fine Art (3162 Commodore Plaza). The featured artist for November is Hans Feyerabend, who specializes in contemporary painting and sculpture. The new gallery will offer pieces from local, national, and international artists including Kelly Edwards, Lisa Renz, and Samuel Gray.
