Catch Grill & Bar Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay in association with Miami Arts Charter School present the Gallery 212 Miami November Art Walk “A Very Special Art Basel Sneak Preview”. Open to the public, the exhibition kicks off with the opening next Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 6pm to 11pm during Art Walk in Wynwood Art District’s most cutting-edge Gallery 212 Miami. Art enthusiasts will not want to miss this Art Basel Preview event, including surprise art installations and pop-up music, vocal and instrumental performances by the students of Miami Arts Charter School (MACS).
Gallery 212 Miami – “Join the Miami Art Movement!” Resident Artists: NY Pop Artist Michael Perez, John Pate, new sculpture painting and design by Johnny Pate, and two emerging artists Sean Murdock and Jonathan Dvoretz, who are already professionals in photography and videogrraphy and are coming into their own in Miami with Gallery 212 as they are as much a part of the foundation of the Miami Art Movement. Sculptor Henry Souto has been with Gallery 212 Miami and Michael Perez for almost two years and is happy to present his colorful sculpture interior designs this year for the first time during Wynwood Art Basel.

– Mariella Sosa, Through the Lens® “Celebrities & Sitios” ~ Portraits of Latin Icons and Captivating Landscapes all Mastered by this “Magician of the Lensâ€. Mareilla’s work will thrill us all as we enjoy an inside look at her work – She is well-known in the local and Latin community and is said to capture the true spirit of her subjects.
– Matt Stock Photography, Painting with Light in the Dark® “Hidden Groves” & “Stiltsville Illuminated” -The result of the process created and developed by this award-winning photographer’s nighttime photography. November 12 will showcase a very special preview piece from his upcoming event called ‘Stiltsville Illuminated” in Miami. Matt Stock and his crew risk their lives to get their shots – standing in the tides surrounded by jellyfish and bull sharks to get the shots that sometimes take up to 4 hours to create! Gallery 212 Miami is thrilled to have the opportunity to help introduce Matt Stock Photography to the art world.

This show is a Preview of the Gallery 212 Miami Art Basel Artists’ Exhibition – There will be an entire new series of Artwork on Exhibition starting November 30th, 2011 and it can be seen for the first time at our Opening Night Gala, where you can Meet the Artists (One Night Only/Tickets***) on November 30th, 2011. The art will be on exhibit throughout Art Basel Miami until January, 2012.]

Catch Grill & Bar Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay will provide light food and beverage during art walk alongside invitations handed out for guests to dine at the Catch Grill & Bar Miami Patio overlooking the beautiful Biscayne Bay Marina. Since opening their doors in Wynwood in February it has been the dream of Gallery 212 Miami, Pop Artist Michael Perez, Miami Publicist and all of the gallery team to find creative ways to give back to Arts Education in the immediate neighborhood as they had before on state levels (NY, FL) to local and international levels (Food for the Poor, Pink Heals with the Miami Fire Department in October 2010, for example). It is just this that they intend to do with the months of November and December (Art Basel) and beyond, by dedicating a series of special events to the exposure and to raising funds for the Miami Arts Charter School.
