LegalArt is pleased to announce the launch of its new patrons’ society, The Foundry, at its kickoff event “I Heart Art.” The Foundry is being sponsored by Media8, a premier digital advertising firm, during its Winter 2011 season. The launch event will take place at the LegalArt lofts from 7pm to 10pm. The event is expected to draw a crowd of over 300 young professionals and arts supporters for an evening of amazing artwork, performances, music, cocktails and food.

“I Heart Art” will feature an exhibition by LegalArt artists-in-residence and local artists including: Pachi Giustinian, Jiae Hwang, Manny Prieres, TM Sisters, Viking Funeral, Brookhart Jonquil, Justin Broadbent, Agustina Woodgate, Typoe, Santiago Rubino, Farley Aguilar, Karelle Levy, and Friends With You. The event will also feature an open bar with complimentary cocktails provided by Corzo tequila and premium beer provided by Peroni, as well as passed hors d’oeuvres provided by The Local Craft Food & Drink. The celebration will include music, performances, interactive art activities and a few other surprises. An after party with drink specials will be hosted down the block at the neighborhood’s newest bar, The Corner.

The Foundry is membership based and consists of an elite group of Miami professionals from all industries who are dedicated to supporting the development of local artists and their businesses. The group will host a variety of events and benefits throughout the year to support LegalArt and its mission: to empower artists by providing professional education, legal referral assistance, and a live/work residency incubator. Membership includes complimentary entry to The Foundry’s events, discount tickets for members’ guests to events, discount tickets to LegalArt events, and exclusive VIP opportunities. Memberships can be purchased at the “I Heart Art” event for a discounted rate of $60 for a single membership, and $100 two memberships purchased together. The first 50 members and their guests will be invited to an exclusive rooftop cocktail party on December 2, 2011 during Art Basel, Miami Beach.

Tickets for “I Heart Art” can be purchased in advance for $10 online at www.legalartmiami.org/iheartart and will also be sold at the door for $15.
