Art Basel Miami Beach has become the phenomenon of the art world each December. Miami rises to the occasion, with numerous venues and satellite fairs surrounding the main event on Miami Beach. It can be difficult to know where to start. Every gallery, storefront, and vacant space, indoors and outdoors, is filled with art. All of which takes place in only one week. How can one possibly maneuver the scene? FIU’s Carol Damian, long familiar with the fair and its events, will try to make sense of it.
