The Lunch Box Gallery is pleased to announce its second and last opening night for the show “America, like it or not” by acclaimed photographers Kirk Crippens, José J. Figueroa and Rodolfo Vanmarcke.
In parallel, the gallery is having the fifth student show of its “One Night Stand Exhibition Series†with talented FIU student of Visual Arts (concentration in Photography), Jesse Meadows; a new project that aims to give photography students the opportunity to participate in the popular Wynwood Gallery Walks, facilitating them the exposure of their work during this major art event.
“America, like it or not” gathers three different visions of America today, from the transgression of the American culture into other societies to the visual consequences of the Great Depression and the abuse of prescription drugs in America. Kirk Crippens is a highly renowned artist currently based in San Francisco, California, who was awarded as the Top 50 Photographer in Photolucida’s Critical Mass and nominated for the 2011-2013 Eureka Fellowship Program (a project of the Fleishhacker Foundation).
