With twenty years of restaurant experience under his belt, Executive Chef Rudy Irwanto knows how to concoct a mean specialty roll. Beginning his career at the Culinary Institute of Bandung in Indonesia, Irwanto mastered the art of cooking authentic Asian cuisine overseas before unleashing his talent for foodies in South Florida. Since moving to Miami, Irwanto has garnered rave reviews from both clientele, including David Bisbal, Alejandro Sanz, Matthew Allen and Jorge Perez, and the media. The New Times newspaper dubbed his creations the “Most Creative Sushi” for his unique blend of tropical fruit and fresh fish. In addition, Irwanto’s resume lists some of South Florida’s favorites like Oxygen Lounge, Turnberry Isle Resort and Club, and Wolfgang Puck Cafe. Most recently, Irwanto has been head of his own catering company, Kaori Sushi.
The cozy lounge seats approximately 60 – 75 guests, in a newly renovated indoor / outdoor space, creating the perfect setting for an intimate dinning and entertainment experience.
The menu features small plates of signature sushi rolls, fresh oysters and sashimi, and hand-picked hot dishes cooked table side with individual hibachi burners. Each dish is perfectly paired with exclusive cocktails stirred up by Lead Mixologist at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach Ramsey Pimentel. Whether dinning or enjoying a late evening nightcap, Sho provides guests with a Show each night (pun intended). Check calendar listings for an up-to-date schedule of rotating musical talent including, renowned DJs and city favorites, like Brendan O’Hara & The Big Bounce and Manolito the Gypsy.
