Join Hanan in an intimate, day-long creative retreat- exploring the use of metaphor and archetype to deepen your dance practice. Through theatrical practice, games, exercises, dialogue, intellectual inquiry, improvisation and choreography, Hanan will guide you in a process of self awakening, energetic purging and creative rebirth. Through the body and bellydance aesthetics, this retreat will help the performer and instructor lea…rn new pedagogical tools and deepen their storytelling through movement. It is also a space for those interested in a deeper connection with their own body, mind, ideas, gifts and feelings. Hanan will guide the participant through deep, personal, creative and theatrical processes. It will be a healing journey as well as a movement journey. This retreat is perfect for actors, dancers and performance artists, as the techniques derive from these three fields.

From this retreat, each dancer will emerge more self actualized, intellectually and creatively stimulated to further their own singular artistic path. This retreat requires a deep commitment from participants and will require outside reading and preparation.
