EcoArtFashion Weekâ„¢ is the platform to express the present state of the ethical and new sustainable fashion world. The week to show the world’s latest eco-design concepts “Art to Wear”, unique fashion designs while raising environmental awareness.

EcoArtFashion Week™ was launched in 2010 during Miami’s Art Basel. It was held at the Albion Rubell’s collection Hotel, in the heart of Miami Beach on Lincoln Rd. It drew more than 10.000 people from around the world during the entire week.

EcoArtFashion Weekâ„¢ 2010 was such a success, that this year 2011 we will expand to three locations including two new venues to accommodate all the projects we are planning:

Event highlights
Nov 28, 2011: 8:30 pm to midnight ‘WRAP YOURSELF IN ART” Opening night party at LMNT. Art to wear runway show presenting “Biospherians” up-cycled couture by Luis Valenzuela. We will have the winning pieces of our first edition of the EcoArtccessories challenge as part of our opening night runway show. Winning piece designed by: Carla Nesci and the finalist pieces designed by Lisu Vega, Olga Saretsky and Pat Taylor. Music by “The Dance Commander” DJ Steven.

Nov 29, 2011: 11:00 am Opening to the public Trunk Show and Exhibition at the Albion Hotel.
9:00 pm at LMNT experience the lights, camera, and action of “THE PHOTO SHOOT”, designer and founder of EcoArtFashion Week™, Luis Valenzuela along with photographer and owner of LMNT, Gino Tozzi will host the performance of “THE PHOTO SHOOT”. Models wearing the latest collection of EcoArtFashion “Biospherians” up-cycled couture by Luis Valenzuela and the high-energy music.

8:30 pm to 10:00 pm Luis Valenzuela “Material Change” art to wear runway show Sponsored by SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS and LuLan Artisans at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Video-Art by Lia Janoff, music by DJ Steven. Valenzuela has partnered with Lulan Artisans’ using Lulan’s high-quality, hand-woven, hand-dyed natural textiles in his collection. Lulan’s work elegantly merges original contemporary designs with centuries-old Asian weaving techniques. Lulan is a leader as an international for-profit social venture, emphasizing artistry and exquisite design while enhancing economic development and sustainable livelihoods of its weavers, dyers, spinners and finishers in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and India as well as focusing on the prevention of human trafficking. Book signing by Lulan artisans founder Eve Blossom.

7:00 pm to 8:00 pm “Up-Cycled” runway show by Design and Architecture Senior High (DASH) students. At the Albion Hotel.
9:30 pm to 11:30 pm Luis Valenzuela’s “Iconic Women” collection, “Art to Wear” pieces made of recycled materials inspired by women who have made a powerful impact on world history. Albion Hotel.

8:00 pm “TRANSIT” runway show by Lisu Vega at Albion Hotel
9:30 pm to 11:00 pm “Convergent Evolution” art to wear” runway show by Fashion Designers Vivianne Valerius, Jacinta Ligon, Valeria Krasavina, Vanessa Tapia, Jessica Alma and Luis Valenzuela, Accessories Designers by Felipe Tonette and Alex Zapirain styling by Waina Chancy, Produced by Alberto Gonzalez and Waina Chancy.

EcoArtFashion Week™ exhibition at the Albion Hotel will feature Eco friendly Art Fashion collections and different multimedia art/fashion projects: Luis Valenzuela “Art to wear” creations, “Catalytic Clothing” video art, a public experiment between Fashion and Science, an Endeavour to purify the air we all breathe” presenting the brainchild of artist / designer Helen Storey (Professor of Fashion and Science at London College of Fashion/Center for Sustainable Fashion) and chemist Tony Ryan (PVC for the Faculty of Science at The University of Sheffield) people from very different worlds whose minds have come together over recent years in highly successful art/science collaborations.
