FENDI Casa Luxury Living and Beats by Dr. Dre are thrilled to announce a collaboration of sound and design highlighting the work of contemporary artist Nick Cave during the 10th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach on Friday, December 2 at the FENDI Casa Luxury Living Showroom. Artist Nick Cave known for his “Soundsuits” which are bright, whimsical and other-worldly wearable fabric sculptures will unveil an installation featuring a one-of-a-kind audio and visual display of Cave’s artwork highlighting his iconic pieces.

Guests will be able to activate this audio and visual experience by entering designated listening stations, putting on a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones and watching Cave’s “Soundsuits” come to life through a performance of creative expression. Each station located throughout the FENDI Casa Luxury Living showroom will offer guests a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones as an audio tool to enhance the sounds of Cave’s imaginative exhibit; this audio tool links together the confluence of sound, music, dance and performance art. Art lovers and guests alike will be transported into a new dimension as they experience smooth sound waves and enjoy light bites and cocktails provided by Avion Tequila.

FENDI Casa will display their latest winter collection which includes a variety of contemporary, modern and classic home furniture and décor pieces; Luxury Living will make its U.S. debut.

The FENDI Casa Home Collection was created in 1989 with an aim of ‘dressing up’ rooms in a way very similar to how FENDI designs its furs, clothes, and accessories. FENDI Casa offers pieces for the entire home inspired by fashion, with a complete collection ranging from contemporary, modern, and classic. Furnishings are characterized by the incredible manufactures and fashion details which include the iconic double ‘F’ logo and the unique spy bag fastener. Nick Cave was born 1959 in central Missouri, and is an American fabric sculptor, dancer, and performance artist. He is best known for his Soundsuits: wearable fabric sculptures that are bright, whimsical, and other-worldly. Cave also trained as a dancer with Alvin Ailey and has a strong connection to the world of music and performance. He currently resides in Chicago and is director of the graduate fashion program at School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
