O.Ascanio Gallery’s end-of-year exhibition, Great Masters, brings together international masterworks by some of the world’s most notorious contemporary artists of the 20th century including Jesus Soto, Alejandro Otero, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Bernar Venet, Agostino Bonalumi and Victor Vasarely.

This impressive collective, comprised of museum-caliber pieces, runs from November 25 to December 17 in O. Ascanio Gallery in the Wynwood Arts District

In addition, selections from Biennale de Paris award winner Francisco Salazar, mathematical precision pieces from Italy-based Victor Lucena and experimentation with monochromatic red paintings by Bernard Aubertin. Avid collector, curator and gallery owner Oscar Ascanio has culled a major exhibition that will be a focal-point during Art Basel.

These timeless artists have taken their place in the art world as dominant and indisputable masters. Ascanio takes great pleasure in showing his collection of select international contemporary artists.

“They are plastic art masters worldwide and are known through innumerable acclaimed expositions in European, Asian and North American museums where each artist has etched his place among the greats and where curators, critics and collectors have agreed that each one is a great master,” said Ascanio.

Escrituras, Ambivalences, Monochromes, Physichromies, Indeterminate Lines, Optics in Black & White and Tensions are works of inequitable quality that are going to share a space with the creations of emerging artists, such as, Venezuelan contemporary artist Carlos Cabeza, who has already made a mark in markets worldwide and whose paintings have been shown for over twenty years.

The collection of 24 pieces (showcasing 10 international artists) will be thoughtfully placed throughout the 3,800 square-foot gallery, creating a stunning and historical exhibition that will further thrust O. Ascanio Gallery among the most respected galleries in South Florida.
