Pampaloni and Margherita Abbozzo Paradiso Perfetto Installation Series Opening Reception 12/1/11

Pampaloni & Margherita Abbozzo Bring Paradise To Miami’s Art Basel Oil Based Paintings of Enchanted Gardens and Handmade Silver Pieces in the “Paradiso Perfetto” Installation Series
Thursday December 1 at 7pm

Pampaloni, the elegant silver store located in the heart of the Design District will host directly from its founding city of Florence an installation of fellow Florentine artist Margherita Abbozzo. “Paradiso Perfetto” combines Abbozzo’s oil on canvas paintings with the latest silver collection by Pampaloni. The installation will be open to the public with cocktail reception on Thursday December 1 at 7pm to meet the artist and view the pieces in display.

The series Paradiso Perfetto, Margherita Abbozzo’s most recent work, is inspired by Renaissance gardens as seen in many frescoes and paintings in Florence. Abbozzo’s beautiful gardens are painstakingly painted: each blade of grass is rendered carefully and orchestrated in a large green symphony that creates an enveloping and magical atmosphere. These gardens are depicted as closely-flying angels would see them, as never-ending lawns to wander through barefoot: a true Perfect Paradise.

There will be six paintings in this installation. Each one is a beautiful, original oil on canvas. Together they create a resonance which is echoed by the distinguished silver objects in the store. Pampaloni’s latest collection is designed by Alberto Zorzi and David Palterer: both designers have found individual and unique inspiration in geometrical and modern shapes which Pampaloni has translated into majestic handmade silver-plated and sterling silver candelabras.

Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Margherita studied History of Art at the University of Florence and Fine Arts in London (B.A. Byam Shaw, M.A, Camberwell). She exhibits internationally and her artist’s books are in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Tate Gallery. Her studio is in an abandoned monastery in the heart of the historical city center of Florence. The city’s rich art heritage is a constant source of inspiration for Margherita’s paintings, which are classical and contemporary at the same time. www.margheritaabbozzo.com
