South Florida’s hometown heroes The Heavy Pets return from their Northeast tour on Saturday, December 31st just in time to help fans ring in the New Year. Over the last three months, THP have toured up and down the East Coast twice and released a new studio album, Swim Out Past the Sun, that’s received rave reviews from critics and two nominations for “Album of the Year” from Homegrown Music Network and Endless Boundaries Radio. Called “a living, breathing, force of nature” by Relix, THP are known for powerhouse live performances and infectious danceable songs with thought provoking lyrics. Carefully bending rhythm and blues, jazz-funk and reggae fusion with rock and roll, the band changes musical costumes on the fly effortlessly. On NYE, THP will be supported by South Florida’s hottest DJ Crew, Audio Playground Entertainment, bringing the heat with Beat Thief Inc. ft. Jack Tree (live DJ/Drum set), DJ Hi-Grade, DJ Milky, live art and dancers.
