Here are some highlights:
Tasting the delicious offerings of the hotels and restaurants of Ocean Drive is one of the new innovations for this year’s ADW. MDPL has collaborated with the Ocean Drive Association to offer a variety of delicious entrees and yummy bites for visitors to enjoy while strolling past the vendor booths on Ocean Drive or watching the people while seated at one of the outstanding restaurants. Restaurants and bars will also be offering beer, wines and selected cocktails.

Another innovation: sophisticated music to keep things hopping. Concerts created just for ADW will be held throughout the weekend at The Clevelander and The Betsy Hotels. Kate Davis, a jazz bassist and singer, who will preform her original songs. A perfect fit for Art Deco Weekend, Kate blends the historic music of jazz and uses in in the modern world. Also fun will be Suenalo, an ensemble that takes Latin rhythms and blends them into something new.

The Art Deco Weekend Lectures promise to blend education and entertainment and create some lively discussions. The series covers the history of MDPL and Miami Beach and is told by those who lived it. It is important to remember how Miami Beach got where it is today and learn from the past.

And don’t forget the fun fashion show on Ocean Drive on Friday night, the traditional Art Deco Weekend Parade on Saturday morning, a furniture exhibit at the Art Deco Welcome Center and walking tours throughout the weekend. The list goes on!
