The United States Bartenders Guild (USBG) Legacy Cocktail Showcase Finalist sponsored by Bacardi at La Côte at Fontainebleau Miami Beach on Tuesday, January 17, 2012.   There were 12 finalists, all winners from previous showcases, which were held in Boston, Los Angeles, New York and Miam.  Three winners were picked from each location and all came together Tuesday for the final showdown.  The winner will represent the U.S., along with representatives from 25 other countries, at the World Finals in Puerto Rico in February 2012.

Each mixologist is giving the chance to create a cocktail  for the opportunity to have their drink join the ranks of legendary Bacardi cocktails like the Original Bacardi Daiquiri and the Original Bacardi Mojito.

The judges for final showcase were: Laura Cullen, Interim President of USBG and Owner of Clarke’s Miami Beach,,  Dale DeGroff, Willie Shine with Contemporary Cocktails Inc., and was hosted by Juan Coronado who is a Brand Master for Bacardi.

The winner of the national Legacy of the Cocktail Showcase is Shigo Gokan,(Angel Share, New York). Shingo will represent the US, along with representatives from 25 other countries in the Global Legacy of the Cocktail Showcase in Puerto Rico on February 19, 2012.
