Last Art Walk I was really inspired … over and over my visits to Art Walk have proved that under any given circumstance it is gunna be RAW and REAL, ours and NOW… right here in our hometown Miami – during just my 1/2 hr. show on the Panther Cafe Stage during last months Art Walk hundreds of people passed in front; they inspired me too! Their dance moves and face paints, wacky costumes or not … made me realize what makes Art Walk so exciting is that it is just that – ART WALKING – everyone is part of “the Show” artists and viewers alike… Amoungst the 40+ people who showed up for my show, 24 people were total “virgins” to Art Walk and had never been or even heard about it – they were all blown away – There is so much amazing art to see!

So the idea for a “marcha”, a Carnival style procession leading through the streets, stoping at designated spots for a “closer view” to end at a final destination where everyone celebrates amidst art, listening to music, being a part of the vibe poped into my head.

There is tonza new graffitti ‘n fun awaiting us right here in our front yard – Wynwood Art Disrtict . . . Let’s Celebrate the life we have Carnival / Mardi Gras Miami Style!!! Why? Porque la vida ES un CARNAVAL … get all our friends together and have some fun!!!

The plan … we all meet at ICL Studio; Us, our fav. peeps, their coolest, n closest most colorful peeps. From there we mobilize down the “Avenida” in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District during Feb. Art Walk. . . drummers, tambourins, and music, feathers and beads, sparkles and boas, sunglasses and MIA Hats and body paint to channel our Miami Carnival vibe. . Gunna check out all the killer new street art, hit a few iconicle galleries climaxing with a Niki EM – POP UP CONCERT and then tonz of multi media deliciousness.

So …
– Get your Shades, hats, chains & feathers, paints and portable instruments and come on down!
– Meet at ICL Studio (2051 NW 2nd AVE) 7pm to start of the evening in Ivan’s Organic Future.
– Walk, talk, move n’ groove by street art, graffitti, art galleries, stopping at some of “The Avenida’s” most exciting venues.
– POP UP concert at 9pm at the Product 81 Gallery (2311 NW 2nd Ave.)
– Not over yet!
– Refuel at the food trucks
– Head to Panther Cafe … Beatz n’ Brew with the Awarehouse / Acoustronic Crew. . .
– Buggy on into a new day!
