The Betsy South Beach continues to welcome South Florida music lovers with free and open to the public performances throughout the month of February. With regularly scheduled performances on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 8 pm. featuring great jazz and blues, as well as special performances by classical and other artists, The Betsy has become known throughout the South Florida arts community as a destination for great music in a relaxed convivial environment.
On Wednesday evenings (February 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29) guests enjoy old school blues from Big Poppa E. On Thursdays (February 2, 9, 16, 23) Adrenaline Jazz, a jam band composed of drummer Reuben Hoch, Hammond B3 guru Ken Burkhart and guitarist Tom Lipincott take listeners on a musical journey while never ignoring its rhythmic roots. Performances take place in the hotel’s bustling Lobby Bar, which offers the perfect gathering spot for experiencing these stellar entertainers. Attendees can enjoy delicious signature cocktails and a bar menu provided by BLT Steak, the Betsy’s acclaimed in-house dining destination.
On Thursday, February 16, the hotel’s lobby is also is the setting for very special classical performance at 6 p.m. by the I’M Piano Duo, Irina Silvanova and Maxim Puryzhinskiy, as part of a series of performances leading up to the Dranoff International Two Piano Competition in 2013, for which The Betsy is the host.
