Miami-Dade County Fair debuts new Extreme Opening Weekend
On Thursday, March 15th, the Miami-Dade County Fair will return to South Florida with its new Extreme Opening Weekend, featuring MMA matches, boxing, wrestling, LIVE! entertainment and more. The exciting weekend will usher in 18 days of thrilling rides, food and fun for the whole family.
Extreme Opening Weekend will kick off with The Fair’s first-ever long distance skateboard race on March 15th at 10:15 a.m. In conjunction with the USA Distance Skateboarding Association, The Fairâ„¢ will host both a 1-mile and 3-mile skateboard race. The extreme entertainment will continue into the evening at 7 p.m. with a MMA World Champions match, featuring MMA star “Cyborg.†At 9 p.m., fairgoers will be treated to a LIVE! concert as Latin Grammy Award Winner Sie7e takes the stage to sing his smash hits, including “Tengo Tu Love.â€
Opening Day admission is just $5.00 per guest. Youngsters five years of age and under are admitted free each day of The Fair.
On March 16th at 9 p.m., the stars of WWE and FCW will take over The Fair with an electrifying match featuring RAW Superstar Jinder Mahal and Smackdown Superstar Justin Gabriel. Boxing fans will not want to miss the special boxing event the next evening on March 17th at 7:30 p.m. with special guest Yuri Gamboa, followed by Frankie Ruiz, Jr. in concert at 9:00 p.m. Ultimate LIVE! Experience VIP packages are available for all special events taking place during Extreme Opening Weekend. Active and retired military and their immediate family receive free admission to The Fair on March 16th with the presentation of a valid military I.D. and a special Military Day coupon available at www.fairexpo.com.
