When you’re only eight, life seems to have some pretty big challenges. Luckily for Emilio, he is great at two things: drawing and using his imagination. When dealing with a new house and a new school is too much, Emilio draws a gregarious green cow that magically springs to life off the page! With the help of his adventurous new friend, Emilio dives into a wondrous fantasy world and discovers that he has the strength to overcome his fears, shyness and even the school yard bullies! Colorful puppets, upbeat music and lots of laughs come together in this heartfelt tale about a boy and his trusty enchanted cow.

Marionetas de la Esquina has been entertaining children and adults alike since 1975. They have given more than 11,000 performances and 50 workshops and seminars and have helped make puppetry one of the favorite family entertainments throughout Mexico.

Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m. and on Sunday, March 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Carnival Studio Theater in the Ziff Ballet Opera House. Both 2 p.m. performances will be presented in Spanish, and the Saturday 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. performances will be presented in English. Recommended Age: 6 Years and above
