The 13th annual O.J. McDuffie Spring Celebrity Golf Classic will kick-off festivities for its two-day fundraising event with a public VIP reception at Passion Nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock. Attendees and celebrity guests will mix and mingle in a celebratory atmosphere while enjoying a premium open bar, hors d’oeuvres and live and silent auctions. A highlight of the evening will include the auctioning off of a custom frame featuring Miami Heat jerseys signed by Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
The following afternoon at 1 p.m., the golf tournament will tee-off at the Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs. The luxury day will include premium beverage and gourmet food stations and “O.J.’s 19th Hole,” a mid-course signature oasis featuring entertainment, massages and more. The day will conclude with an awards dinner.
Both events will benefit the O.J. McDuffie Catch 81 Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and supporting programs to advance the lives of underserved South Florida children and empower them as they embark on their journeys into adulthood.

Founded in 2006 by former Miami Dolphins receiver and MVP O.J. McDuffie, the O.J. McDuffie Catch 81 Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to support and create programs to enhance the quality of life for South Florida children and to empower them to pursue the best in themselves. The Foundation is committed to supporting youth through special fundraising events such as the Spring Celebrity Golf Classic, Summer Softball Slam, Signature Grand Ghoul and the Strikes for Kids Bowling Tournament, among others.
In September 2011, the O.J. McDuffie Catch 81 Foundation partnered with the Twan Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation to open its first Catch 81 Reading Room located in the Franklin Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. The reading room provides an after-school tutoring and life skills program for 45 students. Additional organizations that benefit from the Catch 81 Foundation’s support include The Sheridan House Single Parent Ministries, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Alonzo Mourning Holiday Party, Boys and Girls Clubs, NFL YET Center, Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, S.W.I.M.S. Foundation, the American Cancer Society – Relay for Life, SOS Children’s Villages – Florida and Jack & Jill Children’s Center.
