The Motivational Edge Inc. is pleased to announce a FREE community block-party to celebrate the launch of the Allapattah Music and Literacy Center. The event will include appearances by the Miami Heat’s own, DJ Irie and his After School All-Stars as well as a musical performance by Cleaveland Jones. The Miami marlins Community Foundation will also be present with their prizewheel and plenty of giveaways for the kids!
The Motivational Edge (ME) has partnered with the Irie Foundation and the Music for Your Heart Foundation, while ME’s own students and other local talent will also perform. The event will offer plenty of activities for the entire family — bounce houses, healthy snacks and refreshments, face painting and much more. Representatives from a number of community resources will be on hand as well. Parents and their children will be able to sign up for future academic and/or music classes at the Center.
The creation of the Allapattah Music and Literacy Center was made possible by generous contributions, time and effort from Team Three-O-Thrive, of the 33rd class of Leadership Miami, an annual program of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. “We are extremely grateful for the dedicated members of Three-O-Thrive and all they have provided for our children and families. They are working tirelessly to see this project through!†says, Founder and CEO Ian Welsch.
