Join Dine Magazine for happy hour at the newly opened Luca Bella restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Chef Allen’s. Luca Bella — the brainchild of owner Mickey Maltese — named the restaurant after his two children, Marcelo Luca and Isabella — and has created a welcoming, family-style Italian restaurant with a modern flair complete with great food, a welcome atmosphere and generous service. Once inside, you will feel like you are family. The interior features an intimate bar area, dimmed lighting, comfortable seating and family pictures line the walls.

While some Italian restaurants are quite ordinary, Luca Bella is anything but .. and once you walk inside and smell the sweet aroma, you will be whisked away to Italy. You will find Chef Luciana Crosa in the kitchen, alongside her mother, sister and brother — making this a true family restaurant. On the menu, you will find classic Italian dishes like Clams Casino, Pasta Fagioli, Meat Lasagna and Chicken Milanese mixed in with Luca Bella’s signature dishes. We loved the Spicy Chicken Isabella (roasted chicken on the bone topped with sauteed cherry peppers, mushrooms, onion and roasted garlic).

Cost: $10 in advance or $15 at the door — This includes one glass of Beringer Reserve Chardonnay or Cabernet and a selection of complimentary hors d’oeuvres.
